The Postal Service – Such Great Heights
It’s getting a bit older now, but this song and album will always hold a high spot on my all-time favorites, and I just remembered how cool the video is, so I wanted to get it on here.

It’s easy to find good vegan food-based blogs, but I have found it diffucult to find decent blogs that focus on living as a vegan and different vegan issues. Tonight I found a good one. The Discerning Brute posts regularly about environmentally friendly and vegan products, consciousness in modern society, environmental news, and a few recipes here and there. I’ve only begun to explore it, but TDB is obviously treated with professionalism and heart by its creator Joshua Katcher, and it shows. I was impressed to see that Mr. Katcher scored an interview with Davey Havok of AFI, one of my all-time favorite bands. Here is part II, in which Justin and Davey compare meat eating with hedonism.

Ok, so I know a cappella stuff can be hokey. But it can also be cool, especially if it involves Bon Iver filming an impromptu song for La Blogotheque in a Paris apartment hallway.
from The Trials of Van Occupanther.
I really hope there is a new Midlake album soon. And tour!
One of my favorite songwriters.
How can you not love this?
Saw this a while ago on The Original Winger, my favorite footy blog. It is video of a giant aquarium in Japan called the Kuroshio Sea. In it, they have whale sharks, huge rays, and schools of fish. Pretty amazing.
The song is Please Don’t Go by Barcelona. Worth the 4 minutes, for sure.
What I want to know is: What are these Japanese tourists thinking? Are they awed by the raw power and beauty of nature? Humbled and guilt-ridden for continually weakening the ecosystems that these animals call home? Or are they just getting hungry?
The boys from Ballerado have just plain blown up. They just did a remix of Starstrukk with Katy Perry, and they are up for a VMA. Weird, but well-deserved. Here’s the video for their softy Still Around, which is so not typical 3OH!3, but I still like nonetheless:
